Tottenham are close to finalising a new four-year contract with Pedro Porro.

Porro has had interest from other clubs but is ready to recommit to Spurs under Roberto de Zerbi.

His existing deal expires in 2028.

Barcola could leave PSG this summer

Paris Saint-Germain could allow Bradley Barcola to leave this summer.

Your Site News understands Arsenal are one of the Premier League clubs that have been tracking the 23-year-old winger, who is currently at the World Cup with France.

Back-to-back European champions PSG ideally want to keep Barcola if they can. However, Your Site News understands Barcola was disappointed not to start the Champions League final against Arsenal last month.

Barcola, who has two years left on his contract, is one of the most highly-rated young forwards in the world and would not come cheap.

He scored 13 goals and set up seven more for PSG across all competitions this past season.

'Newcastle rekindle Trafford interest'

Icon

Newcastle United have rekindled their interest in Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford, according to the Athletic's David Ornstein.

However, formal discussions between the two clubs have not started yet, with Trafford understood to want to make a decision on his future at the Etihad after the conclusion of this summer's World Cup.

Trafford, 23, who is part of England's squad in the US, Canada and Mexico, only joined City from Burnley last July, signing a five-year deal with the club, only to then see City manager Pep Guardiola bring in Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG.

Trafford featured in four Premier League games for City last season.

Why are Newcastle trying to sign Munoz?

Icon

Newcastle have identified Osasuna winger Victor Munoz as a potential signing but what type of player is the 22-year-old Spain international?

Your Site used Gemini Sports an AI squad planning tool being adopted by top clubs in Europe to simplify recruitment processes around transfers to give you the lowdown.

Munoz is a right-footed winger who primarily operates on the left and thrives in transition, with ball-carrying and dribbling among his greatest strengths. It is his physical profile, however, that separates him from other players in his position.

Gemini Sports has his physical score at 78, which is in the top five per cent of all left-wingers tracked for this data. This score is a combination of a player's numbers for acceleration, distance covered and top-end speed.

With that in mind, it should come as little surprise that Munoz scores well with Newcastle on Geminis Team Style Fit metric, which measures how closely a players footballing profile matches a clubs defined style of play, taking into account the minutes they have logged in similar systems.

Munoz scores 74 for Team Style Fit, placing him above the current Newcastle squad's average for this metric, according to Gemini Sports' model, which suggests he would slot into Eddie Howes set-up with little adaptation required.

Interestingly, Munozs closest stylistic match in the Premier League, according to Gemini Sports model, is Newcastle winger Harvey Barnes, who has already shown how a player with his traits can shine under Howe.
